The Washington Post Selects OPTIX Document Management System

Flint Hill, VA - June 9, 1997 - Following a lengthy review of document management and workflow products, The Washington Post has selected the OPTIX Document Management System from Blueridge Technologies. The Washington Post is the nation's fifth largest newspaper, with a daily circulation of 809,340*, and a Sunday circulation of 1,129,519*.

The newspaper will use the OPTIX system's document imaging and workflow capabilities to; track and route display and preprint ads, capture and report on preprint manufacturing activity, capture and collect information for comps and special projects, automate ad pickups, and provide ad production statistics, audit trails and status reports.
