Blueridge Technologies releases latest OptixWEB upgrade--OptixWEB WORKFLOW

Flint Hill, VA --- May 12, 1998 --- Blueridge Technologies, "The Internet Document Management Company", announces the release of the latest upgrade for OptixWEB. The upgrade includes the new component, OptixWEB WORKFLOW which enhances the user's ability to manage OPTIX image and text databases using a standard Web browser.

Most significantly, OptixWEB WORKFLOW manipulates workflow documents from the user's in-basket for viewing and editing. Web users can review workflow items, download CODS documents, edit those documents locally, and upload them onto an OPTIX Archive Server through the browser.

New features include dynamic HTML query screen creation, eliminating user requirements to reconstruct index screens for Web use. Also included in the new feature package is image rotation and wider range of support for image types. As always the ability of the user to view and handle images require no browser plug-ins.

OPTIX is the industrial strength client/server based electronic document management system (EDMS) that can scan, index, retrieve, and manage great numbers of documents--numbering from the hundreds to hundreds of millions. OptixWEB WORKFLOW allow the use of popular Web browsers like Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer.
