Mindwrap Brings Document Management to MacPractice

Mindwrap's OPTIX system enhances MACPRACTICE with client-server document imaging and workflow

FLINT HILL, Va., October 7, 2008 — Mindwrap, inc. – the market leader in Macintosh-based document management and workflow solutions - today announced that it has successfully completed a pilot project to integrate its Optix product with MacPractice - the premiere practice management system for Medical, Dental, Chiropractic and Optometry offices. Mindwrap plans to demonstrate the new functionality at the upcoming Macworld Conference and Expo, January 5-9, 2009, at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, CA in booth #1944.

The new capability – crafted for the Center for Spinal Disorders (CSD) in Phoenix AZ at the request of Dr. William R. Stevens - provides a seamless bridge between any patient record in MacPractice and scanned document images in Optix, allowing users to find all documents related to a patient’s care with a single click. The system also supports the automated indexing and storage of incoming faxes as well as electronic desktop documents. Using Optix Workflow, newly stored documents may be automatically routed to the appropriate attending care provider and other organizational users, ensuring that critical information is always seen by those who need it most.
